Self-help is the best help. At least that’s what the RWA of Sector 27 in Noida believes, which bought itself a fogging machine today to step up prevention efforts against the spread of chikungunya and dengue.
Alok Kumar, Madan Lal, Rajeev Garg and other RWA members were present when the machine was used for the first time. Fogging was carried out in the sector park and in other places as well.
The hand-operated machine cost Rs 7,500. According to the RWA, fogging will now be carried out in the sector every day for an hour.
Rajeev Garg, RWA secretary, told City Spidey that Noida Authority had failed to carry out fogging on a regular basis. It was being done in every 10-20 days. He said, “Unfortunately, every house is this sector has had a victim. So, the RWA decided to buy this machine, and take matters into its own hands.”
