Panchsheel Greens 1: Authority instructs builder to start electricity recharge

Noida: The two-week-old tussle between the residents and the builder of Panchsheel Greens 1, Sector 16B, Greater Noida has come to an end. The Greater Noida Authority sent a letter to the builder on November 26, 2021, instructing him to continue the electricity recharge and maintenance services in the society.

Last week, residents reached out to the authority over the issue of electricity recharge in society which was affecting most of the residents. Residents alleged that the builder had stopped the services of electricity recharge, which was creating chaos in the society. Meanwhile, the builder maintained that the residents were not paying maintenance charges.

In addition to this, for a long time, the residents have been complaining about issues related to the malfunctioning of lifts, garbage collection and sanitation among others. Moreover, they emphasize that non-operational lifts pose a danger to their lives in case of emergencies.

Residents shared that despite paying the maintenance charges 2 years in advance, the service has not been good. Now, most of the residents have stopped paying maintenance charges.

A resident of tower F4 Amit Kumar(35), said, “This is the positive step by the authority. It will give a lot of relief to the residents. Now, moving forward we will try to form an AOA in the society.”

Another resident on the condition of anonymity said, “It is a good move by the authority. Residents are relaxed and hope for the betterment of society. This step will break the builder’s attitude.”

Cityspidey also talked to the builder Anuj Chaudhry. He said, “Letter mentioned that we do not have to charge maintenance services from an electricity meter, and we already followed this. We never charged maintenance from the electricity meter. Residents recharged the electricity bill of their flats, but they are not paying the electricity charge of the common area. Thus, this amount is due in NPCL. NPCL may cut the electricity because of dues. So, now it is not in my hands.”
