Greater Noida: The evening of November 27, 2021 turned melodious for the residents of Cherry County, a residential highrise society in Greater Noida West. It was after a long wait that a music event was organised in the society by the residents. The event was named 'Sham-e-Mausiqi', and a total, 25 singers from Cherry County participated in it. The event started at 7 pm and ended around 10 pm. The participants were spread across all age groups with the youngest participant being 18 years old and the oldest being 70 years old. The program started with Saraswati Vandana. The stage was conducted by Sunil Sachdev and Manisha Mishra, residents of the society. Everyone sang songs as per their choices. It was a mix of folk and Bollywood numbers. The audience encouraged the singers with loud applause after every song.
Bhagwan Singh, a senior citizen of the society, says, “It was a fantastic day for the music lovers. The event was proof that cherry County has many talented singers. We must organise such programs from time to time to keep the build happy memories”.
Gyan singh, 40, a resident of the society, says, “It was a great event and we all enjoyed it. It was an overall good end to the weekend. Everyone’s performance was great. It was a commendable effort by all Cherrian singers and organisers.”
