Greater Noida: Naresh Kumar, a resident of Jewar wants to go into health care while Sanjay Sharma looks forward to getting a job in the electronics or telecom field. About 717 youth from small districts of India registered for the skill development fair to seek relevant training in their desired fields.

The joint initiative of Greater Noida Authority, District Administration, and Uttar Pradesh Skill Development Mission to employ the local youth paid off. About 717 youth registered in the skill development fair held at Shaheed Bhagat Singh Inter College, Surajpur on December 12, 2021. The selected ones will be trained in their desired fields of study.

Former Union Minister and local MP Mahesh Sharma inaugurated this fair in the presence of Greno Authority's ACEO Amandeep Duli. After inaugurating the employment training fair, Mahesh Sharma visited every stall. He interacted with the students and the representatives of the institutions who had put up the stalls and appealed to the youth who completed the training to create awareness around the Rojgar initiative.

33 partner organizations participated in this fair for training. Institutions will select youth for training in different trades based on educational qualifications. They will be trained in Logistics, Apparel, Retail, Automotive, Electronics, Hospitality and Tourism, Construction, Domestic worker, Health care, and more.

The youth who participated in the skill development fair was happy with this initiative and were hopeful of better employment opportunities soon.

Hemant, a job aspirant from Jewar who has a diploma in Civil Engineering says, "My employment search has been going on for two years. The opportunities had dried up due to Corona. Now, after registering under the Skill Development Mission, I am hoping for better opportunities."

Nitin, who is looking for a job in the road development and construction field, says that this event has given information about new trades. He is hopeful for better employment opportunities in the future.
