GreNo: Residents discuss the issue of pending registry with NEFOMA

Greater Noida: Pending registries of the residential flats is a common issue in Greater Noida. On this subject, the Noida Estate Flat Owners Main Association (NEFOMA) held a meeting with the residents of highrise residential societies of Greater Noida West on December 13, 2021. The meeting was held in Galaxy Vega Society, Greater Noida.

In the meeting, residents pointed out to the officials of the Greater Noida Authority that no registration of residential flats has been done for years even after the flat owners got the possessions of the flats. Furthermore, after the formation of AOA in some societies, the builders have refused to hand over the society to the association.

In around 85 societies, a total of about 50,000 residents are still struggling to get their registries done even after the possession of their flats. On this subject, Annu Khan, NEFOMA President says, “The issue of the registry is important in Greater Noida West. For the last several years, we raised the issues with the MLAs and MPs of the district and have conveyed our concern to Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath to get the flats registered. Whatever is possible to start the registry, we will do.”

Hemchandra Tiwari, AOA President of Galaxy Fera Society, says, “The builder is not handing over the society to the AOA. We went to the authority to request that our society should be handed over to the AOA. We should get IFMS money from the builder so that we can maintain the society well and make our society better.”

Anoop Kumar, a resident of Amatra Homes, Greater Noida says, “Many of over basic issues have also not been taken care of properly by the authority and the builder. We are living without proper cemented roads or street lights."

Umesh Singh, resident of Vedantam society says, “For the last 5 years, I have been struggling to get my registry papers. In the authority and the builder conflicts, residents are left with a raw deal. Nobody seems to care about the residents.”
