GreNo: Three Foot over bridges to be made soon

Greater Noida: To make the traffic flow smoother and make it easier for pedestrians to reach their destinations, the Greater Noida Authority has issued a tender to build three foot over Bridges in Greater Noida. Many offices including the police office, district court, commercial tax department are built near the collectorate. People cross the Surajpur-Kasna road to reach these offices. The vehicular movement on this route continues throughout the day. In front of Jagat Farm, people cross the road in large numbers towards Ishaan Institute. This obstructs the movement of vehicles. There is also a crowd of people crossing the road in front of Kailash Hospital. The authority wanted to build FOBs on BOT (Build  Operate and Transfer) basis at all these three places, but the companies showed little interest. Due to this, considering the needs of the residents of Greater Noida, CEO Narendra Bhushan decided to build these three FOBs on behalf of the authority. Project department has issued tenders.

General Manager Project AK Arora said that online applications have started from December 17. The last date for application is December 30, 2021. The pre-qualification bids will open on January 3, 2021. After that there will be a financial bid, through which the company will be  selected and the FOB will be constructed. Once the work starts, it will take about six months to complete. Keeping in mind the differently-abled, pregnant women and the elderly, these three FOBs will also have the facility of lift/skeletor.
