The terror of Covid is lingering again as India has reported 33,750 new covid 19 cases in the last 24 hours on January 3, 2021. It is 22% higher than yesterday. The total number of deaths due to the spread of the virus has reached 123 in a day.

According to the Union Ministry of Health, the spread of the new Omicron variant has increased to 1,700. Maharashtra reported the highest number of 510 Omicron cases followed by 351 cases in Delhi.
As scientists and professionals are closely studying the new variant, they have come across two new minority symptoms, i.e: nausea and loss of appetite among the people infected with omicron according to the Zoe Covid app study. Otherwise, the four common symptoms are cold,  fever, runny nose and fatigue.

The  Union Health Ministry announced that Bharat Biotech's Covaxin will be given in 2 doses within 28 days to all the teens between 15-18 years of age.
