Elite Golf Greens- Traffic jams due to narrow road troubles flat owners

The road outside Elite Golfgreen has long been a problem for neighbouring residents because of its narrow width. The 45-meter stretch of road which is the main road for society is not wide enough to accommodate the volume of traffic. As a result, every day there is a traffic jam and congestion. It is a common road connecting Delhi, Dadri Road, Barola, and Bhangel.

The buyers of Elite Golfgreen, Sector 79, Noida received a letter from the builder on Dec 18, 2021, informing them that the construction work of Elite Golfgreens society has been completed and the residents will soon receive possessions starting mid-January. However, this letter did not come as happy news for the buyers. Residents are anxious because of the narrowness of the main approach road in front of the society, which creates massive traffic problems while commuting to and fro from the society. Moreover, it also poses a safety risk.

There are 616 flats in the society out of which approx 450 to 500 buyers will be living here soon.

This is not the first time the issue has come forward. On August 18, 2021, they wrote a letter to the Authority as well as to the Prime Minister regarding the unconstructed narrow single-lane road in front of the society. The residents said they want to shift into their new flats which are almost ready but the narrow length of the main road terrifies them.

Residents highlight that the narrow road can create massive traffic issues during peak hours. Moreover, it would be extremely difficult for public transports like school buses, auto-rickshaws, etc. to stop at their doorstep.

Raj Kumar Batra, a buyer who has bought a flat in Elite Golfgreen Apartments says, “We have asked the builder so many times about this issue but he never responds. When we wrote a letter to the Noida Authority, they replied there's the unavailability of land for two-line roads. Does that mean we have to bear with this narrow road? Plus, there are many potholes on this road, which gives riders a bumpy ride. We met MP, MLA, CEO Noida everyone but there is no positive update that we have received”.

Kamaldeep, another buyer of Elite Golfgreen Apartments, says, “We are soon to move in this society as we already received a letter from the builder. Shifting to this society can be life-threatening for our families. The one narrow service road which is the main road for this society witnesses continuous heavy traffic day and night. It is not going to be easy to enter or exit society. How are we supposed to bear with this? Authority must take immediate action”.
