Noida: In a bid to vaccinate all children in the age group 15-18 years, the Noida Federation of Apartment Owners Associations has started organizing paid inoculation camps in collaboration with private hospitals. NOFAA has collaborated with various private hospitals like Fortis, Apollo, Felix, Satya, etc, and as well requested the local health department, CMO office for conducting vaccination camps for children between 15-18 and precautionary shots in the high rise buildings of Noida.

According to the official data, the Gautam Buddh Nagar on January 6, 2021, logged 600 new Covid-19 infections that pushed the number of active cases in the district to 1,706, the highest in Uttar Pradesh. The association had announced its plan to start vaccination camps in highrise societies as part of its mega inoculation program starting from January 4, 2021. The vaccination drive has been started for 15 to 18 years children and Senior Citizens.

Rajiva Singh, President, NOFAA, says, “We have requested all high rise societies to plan schedules for vaccination for children and booster shots for senior citizens. In case the number of eligible children is less in a particular society, we can form clusters of high rise societies and organize these vaccination camps in one common society."

Abhinav Saini, a resident of Ajnara Grand Heritage informed CitySpidey that around 50 children from their society got vaccinated on January 4, 2021. The camp started at 11 am and ended around 5 pm. The residents were asked to fill google forms for the vaccination. A walk-in vaccination was conducted.

Saini further says, "There are 1500 flats in our society so there are children who are yet to get vaccinated. We are having this camp again on January 11. There will be the availability of booster doses for senior citizens along with vaccination for children."
