JWC organises 73km cycle ride on 73rd Republic Day

To celebrate 73rd Republic Day, Joggers and walker club (JWC), Noida has planned an initiative to cycle 73 km on 73rd Republic Day.

It could be a solo ride (or in pairs) any time between sunrise and noon on 26th January, along with the National Flag. Any route can be chosen by the riders.

Keeping the pandemic in mind, the cycling event will take place virtually. Individuals have to share their pictures and a 10-second video(maximum) of them riding with the national flag by 12 pm.

Thereafter, JWC will compile a video of the riders and tag the President and Prime Minister of India.

Rajiva Singh, President JWC says, "We have circulated this message on every cycling group of Noida. Because of the pandemic, we are not encouraging a cycle rally. If anyone wants to go in pairs, it will be okay. I will start my ride from sector 50 to Gautam Budh Nagar. Many of our friends living in other countries and states can also participate and share their 10-sec video."

Ashita Arora, a cyclist says, "It's cold outside. I have started my preparation from today itself. The Josh is high and I am sure we will feel patriotic while riding with the national flag. I will be eating high protein today to beat the cold."
