Ghaziabad: Ramprastha Greens has been declared the cleanest society of Ghaziabad in a survey conducted by GMC. Yashoda hospital was declared the cleanest hospital. Amongst the schools, DPS Indirapuram was selected as the cleanest school in Ghaziabad. Amongst all the government departments, Ghaziabad Municipal Corporation secured 1st place.
Nearly 1.5 months back, the health department of the Municipal Corporation of Ghaziabad conducted a competition to find the cleanest amongst the housing societies, RWAs, hospitals, markets, schools and the government department of Ghaziabad. Many institutions took part and registered themselves online and claimed to be the cleanest.
According to a city health official, MCD, six categories were made for different types of institutions from which, 72 institutions enrolled themselves through the google online forms portal. 30 schools, 7 market associations, 10 RWA associations, 11 hotels, 7 hospitals and 7 government offices had applied.
After the process of examination, the results were announced by Municipal Commissioner Mahendra Singh Tanwar. He said, "the purpose of this competition was to encourage the institutions towards cleanliness. First, second and third prizes will be given to winners of each category.
