In Dwarka now you can tweet the construction waste away

Getting rid of illegally dumped construction debris in Dwarka is now as easy as sending a tweet. SDMC promises that from now on the Dwarka citizens can deal digitally with construction debris dumped illegally all around the sub-city.

If as an aware and responsible citizen you are worried about the management of Construction & Demolition ( C & D) waste in your area, here is a digital solution for you. You can get C & D waste in your area removed and properly managed by the civic body SDMC through just a tweet from your side.

Citizens can get C&D waste and debris removed by tweeting their grievances to SDMC'S official Tweeter Handle @OfficialSdmc. SDMC'S team will reach the spot and will ensure the removal of C&D waste and debris. Through this initiative, SDMC has aimed to address grievances related to the accumulation of construction waste in a speedy manner.

Dwarkites expressed that such a digital facility to manage C&D waste would help the subcity get rid of the problem of illegal dumping to a large extent. On the other hand, they said that if this digital mode would get an effective shape, then people would be happy to use it on a regular basis for better waste management.

TC Batra, secretary of Dream Apartments, Sector 22 said, “Community must tweet and the authority must respond timely for this initiative to be effective. This would encourage the community towards proper management of such waste.” President of Ganpati Apartments, Sector 9, KS Bhati said, “Twitter is now an integral part of our daily lives and I hope people would use that for the removal of C&D waste. I also would like to say that SDMC must ensure prompt action in response to each and every such tweet for the removal of waste.”

SDMC has been carrying Swachhata Sarvekshan 2022 in South Delhi. These include several activities and campaigns to promote the management of waste, reducing the use of single-use plastic and more.
