Sidharth Malhotra and Kiara Advani won the 'Critics Best Actor' and 'Best Actress' awards for their performances in the biographical war film Shershaah, respectively at the 68th Dadasaheb Phalke International Film Festival Awards 2022. Several Bollywood and television celebrities attended the grand event held at Taj Lands end in Mumbai. Shershaah also won the Best Film award.

Dadasaheb Phalke International Film Festival Awards shared a brief clip of Sidharth and Kiara's performance in Shershaah and congratulated them on their victory. The film honours Captain Vikram Batra, aka Shershaah's sacrifice during the Kargil War of 1999.

Shershah released in 2021 on Amazon Prime was a commercial success. The movie which was a romantic retelling of Vikram Batra and Dimple Cheema's real-life love story has earned new stardom for the leading pair. The couple, who are rumoured to be dating for a long time, are frequently seen attending events and spending holidays together. While the actors have a strong bond off-screen, their on-screen chemistry has left fans speechless.

During the award function, both the actors looked fantastic. Kiara looked simple and classy. She wore a gorgeous yellow-orange ombre effect saree which she paired with a shiny silver blouse and added some classic classic classic classic earrings to finish her look. Kiara made a bun for her hairstyle and held her makeup on point as usual.

On the other hand, our chocolate boy Siddharth Malhotra was in all-black formal attire. From his hair to his shoes, everything was on point. The actors reached the award ceremony and posed for photographers together. Kiara was also seen at the film festival sharing a warm hug with Sidharth.

In addition, Ranveer Singh won Best actor(Popular) for Ranveer Singh for 83, and Kriti Sanon won Best Actress(Popular) for Mimi whereas Sardar Udham Singh was awarded Best Film(Critics).
