Fusion desserts to try this Holi

New Delhi: Festivals and food go hand-in-hand and no celebration is complete without desserts. As we are still stuck in this pandemic, our idea was to keep these recipes trouble-free. So one can try these recipes at home and have something unique rather than our basic bhang and thandai recipes.
These are Indian desserts you can try in Holi festival. These are fusion, tasty and easy dishes you can try for this festival of colours.

Gulkand mousse

The lifeline of a paan is Gulkand and watching Amitabh Bachchan chewing on a pan in his famous Holi song; it has kind of become a signature mouth freshener in Holi celebrations too. Combining gulkand with mousse is one of the best decisions ever made. You must try it.

Apple mawa kheer

Yet another sweet delight, apple mawa kheer does not only sound amazing but also taste delightful. The apples add an attention-grabbing touch to it and mawa does its magic. Instead of the traditional kheer, serve this version to your guests and record their reactions while having pleasure eating this dessert. If possible!

Almond chocolate truffles

These healthy almond chocolate truffles are yummy, delicious and so easy to make. The best part is they are sweetened with dates and naturally coated with melted dark chocolate, nuts, desiccated coconut and powdered dry strawberry.

Quinoa kheer

The traditional way of making Kheer gets a new spin by replacing rice with quinoa. You will love the new variation of this Indian dessert. Loaded with nuts and flavored with cardamom and saffron, quinoa kheer will become your new favourite dessert.

Bread halwa

This halwa is a popular dessert from the Hyderabadi cuisine and is very delicious and tasty. The best part about making this halwa is by soaking deep fried (or pan fried) bread pieces in a sugar syrup and finished with saffron  and nuts.

Coconut laddu

Coconut laddu is a quick and easy Indian sweet made in 10 minutes. The two main ingredients which go into making this laddu is dry coconut and sweetened condensed milk. The laddu tastes great with just these two ingredients. I have added crushed cardamom and pistachio for nice aroma and crunch.

Rasgulla icecream

An amazing cold dessert made with rasgulla, ice cream, strawberry and almonds. It is a super easy recipe which will be loved by kids and  adults. Try this rasgulla ice cream for Diwali, Hoil, in summer or any occasion.
