NEFOWA urges apex court for hearing on pending registry

Greater Noda West:The Noida Extension Flat Owners Welfare Association and the residents of Greater Noida West have raised the issue of the pending registry on Twitter and requested the Supreme Court to hear the reserve order dated 13 November 2021, related to builder and Authority conflicts.

On this issue, Noida Extension Flat Owners Welfare Association (NEFOWA), shared a tweet,

As per residents, Supreme Court's intervention can start the registration of lakhs of houses on the order of the Supreme Court. Nearly 50,000 residents in 85 societies of Greater Noida West are struggling to get their registries done even after the possession of their flats. This is because of the builder-Authority conflicts.  For the last three months, residents are waiting for the next hearing date by the Supreme Court.

Manish Kumar, Senior Vice President NEFOWA says, "After the decision of the Supreme Court, the Authority will recalculate the pending amount and collect it from the builder. As a result, the pending registry of thousands of homebuyers will start. We have been raising this issue with the help of Twitter. We are requesting the Supreme Court to declare their order."

Sameer Bharadwaj, a resident of Ecovillage-1 society says, "We have been regularly raising this issue. The registry is our right. We have been waiting for the decision of the Supreme Court. All residents have been waiting to get their registry for the last five years."

Anupam Mishra, a resident of Ecovillage-2 says, "About 2500 residents in our society are waiting for their registry papers. Because of this issue, we have been paying extra interest to the banks which is equal to a personal loan. The value of our property is also decreasing day by day."
