Sanitation workers go on strike, Sector 52 remains uncleaned

The RWA of Sector 51 has written a letter to the CEO of Noida Authority on March 22, 2022, to raise the issue of lack of sanitation services in the sector. Residents shared that sanitation workers have been on strike for the last 2 days and as a result, the sector has not been cleaned.

The lack of sanitation has led to uncleaned drains and roads after Holi. Sanjeev Kumar, General Secretary, RWA Sector 51 shared that for the last two years, after every 15 days, the sanitation workers go on strike because of some ongoing dispute with their contractor. He says, "We have requested Ritu Maheshwari CEO, Noida Authority to fire the workers who are trying to hamper the sanitation work in our sector. These people do not do their work, rather, they are  seen roaming around on motorcycles, working privately in houses and PGs."
