Noida: The residents of Nirala Aspire society are in fear because of the increasing cases of monkey attacks on the residents. Residents have complained to the maintenance team but the problem has not been resolved yet.

As gathered, a small kid was attacked by a monkey in the society park. The resident and mother of the child who was attacked say “The monkey attacked my son when he was cycling in the park. I was at some distance and by the time I could shoo it away, my child was injured."

She added that other residents give food to the monkey which makes them linger on. According to the residents, the monkeys can jump from tower to tower and can go to the 20th floor and this has become a potential danger for residents.

Shashi Bala, a resident says, “We are under distress as some residents continue to feed the monkeys. Our concern is that caring for animals is turning dangerous for humans. The maintenance team must help us."

Kamna Gupta, a resident and a mother of two small girls says, “I was never afraid to send my children out to play. However, given the monkey menace in society, I am afraid to let my children go to the society park."

We contacted the maintenance staff. Amir Aazmi, Facility Manager, Maintenance Nirala Aspire says, “We leave no stone unturned to make life secured for our residents. We request our residents never feed any animal inside the society premise.  We are trying to control this problem but the most important part is residents' support."
