Noted poets  gathered for a poetry reading event at Prateek Laurel in Noida's Sector 120 on October 22.

The event, titled 'Ek Sham Shahido Ke Naam', was organised by the society's senior citizens association and was supported by City Spidey. "This is the first time we have organised such an event and the turnout was encouraging," said SL Srivastava, secretary of the association. "All residents had a great time. It was good to see them applaud the orators."

Noted poets Dr Kriti Kale, Mahavir Singh, Raja Gwaliori, Bengali Babu, Ramlakhan Sharma and Rajveer Singh presented patriotic poems on the occasion. Pranjali Mishra, a resident and a budding singer, sang songs dedicated to Indian soldiers.
