He complained to Noida Authority about a temple; neighbours boo him down

Has Supertech Capetown's green area been encroached upon for a temple by its own residents?

A resident of Supertech Capetown in Noida's Sector 74 submitted a written complaint to Noida Authority on October 24, saying that the green area within the society had been encroached upon by some residents to increase the area of the temple in the compound.

As per the complaint, a group of residents constructed a temporary temple by placing a few idols and installing a temporary tin roof above these. Now they have encroached upon the green area near tower CS 5 to extend the temple's boundary.

Shailendra Baranwal, the complainant, told City Spidey that since he raised the issue, he is being abused by other residents. "After I lodged the complaint, some of these people stood outside my house, hurling abuses at my family and me," he said. "I also called the police, but these people fled as soon as they saw the PCR van approaching."

A resident who is part of the group that constructed the temple, on the condition of anonymity, said it was built with the consent of all residents. "We also sought permission from the builder," he said. "Baranwal is just creating a issue out of nothing to promote his self-interests. His accusation that we have encroached upon the green area is a lie."

SC Gaur, Noida Authority's chief architect planner, said he had received the complaint and would be sending his team to investigate at the earliest.

Bijendra Singh, SO, Sector 49 police station, told City Spidey that he had also received a complaint and that investigations were on.
