No time for green belt now: Horticulture Department

Residents of Sector 122 complain that the Horticulture Department is too busy with the upcoming Noida Flower Show to look into the pile-up of garbage in the area's green belt.

No time for green belt now: Horticulture Department

Caught up with preparations for the Noida Flower Show (February 26-28), the Horticulture Department has no time to maintain the green belt in Sector 122 of Noida. The area has become a dumping ground for garbage, with cattle roaming the belt, over the past two years.

"We have written to the Horticulture Department of Noida Authority and held several meetings with them," said Shiv Kumar Tiwari, President, Sector 122 RWA. "But we are yet to receive a response."

City Spidey raised this issue with the Deputy Director of Horticulture, Mahendra Prakash. "We are busy with the Noida Flower Show at present and will attend to the problem only in the first week of March," he said.
