Noida: On the occasion of Baisakhi 2022, on April 13, 2022, Shaheed Samarak Sanstha and the residents of Gautam Budh Nagar celebrated the 21st Dedication Day. They lit candles on the occasion.

Lt Gen GL Bakshi, PVSM (Retired) Chairman of the Sanstha, lit the first candle at the onset of the dusk on the base of the cenotaph. Thereafter, the family members of other martyrs lit their candles and paid homage to 38 martyrs in whose memory, the Shaheed Smarak was built.

The profusion of candlelights in and around the cenotaph of Smarak was a beautiful sight to witness.

Nargis Naqvi wife of a martyr, Sqn Ldr IH Naqvi says, “It was an emotional moment for everyone there. We salute those who have served their nation. As in our culture, we give lots of preference to the diya, that's why we lit candles on this day. We feel proud of our younger generation who is serving the nation."
