Makeshift firecracker stalls near Jaipuria Mall in Ahinsa Khand 1 have been sealed by the police following a complaint by the AOA of Jaipuria Sunrise Greens, a society in Indirapuram. The AOA has also instructed the society's security guards to keep an eye out and inform office bearers in case the stalls reappear.

Speaking to City Spidey, Ravindra Saini, president of the AOA, said such stalls were a threat to residents and commuters in the area. "The shops were a safety concern, especially because they were put up right next to a mall and a society," said Saini. "We lodged the complaint, as these stalls did not maintain fire-safety measures and could cause a major disaster."

Ajay Kumar Sharma, fire station officer of Vaishali declared all such stalls illegal and a major threat. Sharma also urged residents to approach the local police in case they noticed such stalls in their neighbourhoods. The Vaishali station is responsible for fire safety across Ghaziabad.

Seelesh Kumar, SO of Indirapuram police station, told City Spidey that the stalls were shut down immediately after receiving the complaint from residents. "Only those stalls with licences from the district administration will be allowed to operate. They will have to maintain fire safety norms to be able to sell firecrackers in the area," said Kumar.
