This Diwali, Dwarka schoolchildren are spreading the message of an eco-friendly Diwali. Schools are organising special assemblies, talk shows and marches to inform people about the ill effects of bursting firecrackers. Some schools are encouraging people to shun Chinese products with slogans such as "Be Indian, Buy Indian".
Schools such as NK Bagrodia in Sector 4 and Sachdeva Global School in Sector 18 have organised marches and a pro-environment awareness drive. Schools such as Sam International organised tree-planting drives and a special assembly for an eco-friendly Diwali.
