The 3-km-stretch from the Sector 14 to the Sector 12 Metro stations in Dwarka is in a state of disrepair, with several potholes and deep cracks on the surface. This has been the situation for more than six months now.

Shyam Lal Yadav of Sector 14 said,  “The road in front of the Sector 14 Metro station Gate No 1 is damaged and hardly commutable. It's been like this for almost a year. The 100-m stretch near the mall construction site is damaged as well.”

The road from the Sector 13 Metro station towards the Sector 12 station also has a small damaged portion, with several potholes — and it has gotten worse. “Earlier, it was just a small portion, but now it is almost a 20-m stretch. The potholes are dangerous for bikers,” said Deekshant Sharma, a resident of Sector 13.

Near the Sector 12 Metro station too, it's the same story. Residents say that the damaged surface was never repaired properly, and it has been like this for more than a year now.

President of Suryodaya Apartments, Sector 12 Pocket 8, Surya Pal Singh, said, “This is negligence on the part of the DDA. The situation could prove particularly fatal to bikers. We have asked the DDA to repair this stretch, but nothing has happened yet.”

When City Spidey contacted a DDA official, he said some of the potholes have been filled temporarily, and repairs are to start in the coming months.
