Dwarka community from various sectors and societies participated in the 'Walk a mile for Education' event on Sunday morning, May 8, 2022. The two-kilometre brisk walk was dedicated to the cause of education and the betterment of the underprivileged sections of society. The walk was jointly organised by 'Stand N Stride', an NGO from 'Dwarka and Divas' in Action, a women's Facebook group. It was organised at Ramlila ground, Sector 10, Dwarka. More than 300 people participated in the event and a total of eight winners were awarded trophies and gifts.

There were two groups of participants, above 60 years old and below 60 years old. Both the groups were separately flagged. Ex- ACP Rajender Singh flagged off the walk. Before the flag-off, all participants were warmed up through the Zumba dance by Mukta Dance and Fitness Academy. Stand N Stride Foundation's Pathshala students also performed its theme song 'Hum bachhe Stand N Stride Ke' and won the hearts of the participants.
