Women of ANHLGT on a mission to make Dwarka greener

Dwarka: The women of the Association of Neighborhood Ladies Get Together (ANHLGT) from various sectors and societies are on a mission to make Dwarka greener and cleaner. They are organizing plantation drives in the societies of Dwarka and encouraging kids and youth of Dwarka to participate. Along with the plantation drives, they are also spreading awareness about the need and importance of plants.

On Sunday, May 8, 2022, a plantation drive was carried out by ANHLGT at Sheetal Vihar Apartments, Sector 23 with the residents of the society. In the event, fruit saplings were planted. The kids of the society were also given plants to look after at home.

President of ANHLGT, Cicily Kodiyan says, “We have to bring kids to the forefront for nature. They are the hope for a greener future. We are trying to sensitise them and that is why we have started this mission. We will be doing plantation drives across Dwarka for one year.”

Kodiyan says that kids are being given a task to plant three medicinal plants and three oxygen-giving plants in their place. “We will be monitoring those kids and the kids who look after their plants in the best way will be awarded,” says Kodiyan.
