Netflix Releases 'Money Heist Korea' Trailer!

The buzz that K-Dramas have created is quite evident. Whether it is about their movies, fashion, or food, the Hallyu wave has tqaken over the world. Several South Korean series made it to international streaming services last year. Squid Game, a Netflix web series, broke many records and became one of the most streamed popular show worldwide, and was also dubbed in various languages.

Netflix is ready to welcome another South Korean crime drama, this is an adaptation of the Spanish series Money Heist. While fans eagerly awaited this South Korean adaptation, Money Heist: Korean - Joint Economic Area, the filmmakers of this drama recently released the trailer of the series.

The teaser showed a Joint Security Area, where North and South Korea are divided. Officials from both countries aim to produce a new unified currency at the mint which is the first step toward establishing a stable joint economy. However, it appears that reunification is only benefiting the wealthy.

After all this chaos, the gang of burglars planned the biggest heist. But a joint task force led by a North Korean agent and a South Korean negotiation specialist is the thing that only comes between them and the money printed at the mint. As viewers, we know the Spanish version of La Casa De Pepel, but we hope the Korean version will do the justice to the original series. This show's expectations are pretty high as netizens cannot wait for its release.

The Korean Original Series will have an all-star cast of Korean actors, including Yoo Ji Tae, who will play Professor lvaro Morte. He is recognised for his roles in films such as When My Love Blooms, The Swindlers, Money, Svaha: The Sixth Finger, and Kim Yunjin (Seven Days, Ode to My Father, Lost, Mistresses) as Seon Woo Jin, a Task Force Team inspector who is scheduled to play Itziar Ituo's Raquel.

The other gang members include Jeon Jong Seo as Tokyo, Lee Won Jong as Moscow, Kim Ji Hun as Denver, Jang Yoon Ju as Nairobi, Park Jung-woo as Rio, and Kim Ji Hun as Helsinki, Lee Kyu Ho as Oslo. The hostages will be played by Park Myung Hoon (Cho Youngmin), who will reportedly play the Korean counterpart of Arturo, and Lee Joo Been (Youn Misun), who takes over the role of Mónica Gaztambide/Stockholm.

Money Heist: Korean - Joint Economic Area is a remake of the original Spanish series directed by Kim Hong sun and written by Ryu Yong Jae. "A country without borders, a heist without limits, and a crime that will change the world," Netflix India tweeted alongside the official trailer for the next series.
