A bite of best food destinations of the world!

For some, culinary cultures and journeys full of tasty treats are what matter the most. Including culinary activities in your vacation itinerary is one of the most effective ways to learn about the culture of the place you're visiting.

If you are a food lover and want to visit some fantastic foodie destinations, we've compiled the perfect list for you! Here are some global destinations where you can indulge in a gastronomic wanderlust-

Paris, France

Croissants and Croque Monsieurs in Paris are as iconic as the Eiffel Tower and the Sacre-Coeur. People forget that Paris is a foodie paradise when they plan their trips there. There are numerous ways to enjoy Paris, whether at one of the city's many street food markets, at a local crepe stand or on a full-day food tour. No trip to the French capital is complete without sampling the cuisine that defines the country – yes, even escargot and frog legs!

Tuscany, Italy

Taking cooking classes in Italy is at the top of most foodies' bucket lists. We fantasize about making tender, homemade pasta with rich meaty tomato sauces, sipping Tuscan wine on the terrace overlooking the vineyards, and eating briny olives and antipasto. This type of experience is available throughout Italy, with plenty of cooking schools and wine tasting tours.

Chianti is one of our favourite Tuscan regions. Not only is it stunning and easy to navigate, but there are dozens of fantastic Chianti Classico wines to sample.

Mendoza, Argentina

Mendoza produces some of the world's best wines, but did you know about its culinary scene? Mendoza is ideal for foodies who want to experience all three pillars of good travel in one place: good food, wine, and adventures. Many of the region's best wineries offer impressive multi-course wine lunches from their winery restaurants, which often feature breathtaking views of the Andes from every seat and unlimited wine.

San Sebastian, Spain

San Sebastian may not be a significant cosmopolitan city like Paris or London. Still, it is perhaps the world's best food destination, with more Michelin stars per capita than any other city and a thriving pintxos(appetizers, generally eaten at bars) scene that you won't believe until you taste.

It makes it to our list not only because of the abundance of fine dining but also because it is a slice of heaven, with its breathtaking views of the crescent bay and the lovely La Concha Beach. There are three 3-star restaurants among a handful of 1- and 2-star establishments and a slew of pintxos bars serving gourmet bites that rival any fine dining experience.

New York City, New York, USA

New York City is also the world's culinary capital. You'll find incredible food here, from street vendors to Michelin-starred restaurants and even a few completely outrageous foods that you won't find anywhere else.

Culinary trends appear to begin and end in New York City. However, one thing that distinguishes this city is the large number of highly talented chefs who call it home.

Make time to visit Katz Delicatessen, Momofuku Noodle Bar, and Peter Luger Steakhouse in NYC. Here, you can enjoy thin slices of New York pizza, street hot dogs, Jewish delis, and lavish brunches.

Tokyo, Japan

The freshest, best, and most fantastic sushi can be found in Tokyo. If that's not enough to convince you to visit Japan for your next culinary adventure, I'm not sure what else to say – How about the izakayas, which can be found in all the back alleys and small crevices throughout the city?

It may sound like it's from a dive bar, but it's not. In fact, it's a foodie's dream come true. Or there's the old Tsukiji outer market, which is a must-see in Tokyo. You'll see foods you've never seen before and get to try various foods along the way. You can eat the best of every type of food in Japan from gyoza to okonomiyaki to ramen and takoyaki. Nearly every chef is a master at his cuisine.

Istanbul, Turkey

Turkey is one of the best places to visit for a fantastic food vacation. As one of the world's most visited countries, Turkey has a lot to offer visitors. A trip to this country will be unforgettable, with its Mediterranean Sea beach resorts, historical sites, friendly people, rich culture, excellent museums, and delectable Turkish cuisine.

Whether you're in Istanbul, Capadoccia, or one of Turkey's other famous cities, you'll be able to sample delicious cuisine at every turn. The dishes served in each area vary, but keep an eye out for Doner Kebab, Meze, Pide, and Baklava.
