Greater Noida West: Nearly 212 people enjoyed fresh and healthy food served under 'Janta Ki Thali' last Sunday, May 22, 2022, for just Rs 5. This week, freshly prepared rajma rice and gulab jamun were served at the Charmurti roundabout.

Janta Ki Thali, a community meal, has been started by NEFOWA after 2 years. The initiative has become a hit among community members. Every Sunday, people look forward to fresh and healthy food served for just Rs 5. They aim to serve people from underprivileged sections and anyone who has moved from away and is looking for affordable healthy food.

Jyoti Jaiswal, NEFOWA member says, “The popularity of Janta ki Thali is increasing day by day. New members are constantly lending their support to this initiative. It is a matter of pride that people from as far as Noida and Greater Noida are supporting us."

In this week’s drive, Sumit Gupta, Shipra Gupta, Jagriti Chaudhary, Shashibala, Dr Avneesh, Prateek Gupta, Pallavi Gupta, Jyoti Jaiswal, Vikas Katiyar, Sagar Gupta assisted in the distribution of food to the public and participated actively.

NEFOWA member Vikas Katiyar informs that the meal was sponsored by NEFOWA Women wing member Shubhra Singh who is a resident of Amrapali Leisure Valley and Vimla Gupta who is a resident of Samridhi Grand Avenue. "This Janta Ki Thali was prepared to commemorate the birthday of Vimala Gupta, mother of Sumit Gupta, an active member of NEFOWA," said Vikas.
