Noida Market Associations discuss their issues with Police Commissioner

Noida: Gautam Buddha Nagar Police becomes all ears for the prevalent safety and security issues of the traders of Noida. In a meeting called by the office of the Commissioner Police (CP) Headquarters in Sector 108, Noida, the police listened to several pressing matters of the traders of Noida.

The jewelers put forth their issue of robbery on roads. In response, the CP decided to provide security to them from the nearby police station.

Sushil Kumar Jain, President of Sector-18, Market Association says, "The main concern which was addressed in the meeting was to provide parking area for the vehicles in big markets, even if that was 50-100 meters away from the main market. That will help  to remove the blockages in the roads. Also, a designated place will be given to vendors who put their stalls on the footpath."

Rajeev Sharma, President-RWA, C-Block, RajatVihar, Sector-62, Noida says, "Noida police and administration have given us a very positive response and they also assured to conduct such meetings further. I also raised the issue of unauthorised parking in our society."

The need for the appointment of traffic guards in Jewar market was also discussed, citing that parents' worry about the late arrival of school buses. It leads to students getting late for their school. The issue of encroachment in the Surajpur market, sanitation related issues and making of police point at the busy markets to ensure safety were also discussed.

Other important issues discussed include encroachment, traffic, security threats, road blockage due to the absence of proper parking places in the markets and authorized parking in the markets among others.

The Market Business Associations from towns and all the villages such as Gautam Buddh Nagar's Jewar, Dadri, and Surajpur as well as RWA presidents were called to attend the meeting and around 400 people were present in the meeting.

The ACEOs of Noida and Greater Noida Authority Praveen Mishra and Deep  Chandra, Luv Kumar(DCP Noida), Alok Singh( CP Noida),  Suhas  LY(District magistrate), and other officials were also present at the  meeting.
