The infrastructure of Dwraka got a lot of positive attention as Dwarka Forum met with Delhi Development Authority (DDA) officials. The aim was to chalk out a plan for the overall improvement of Dwarka infrastructure and also to look at the current state of affairs.
Dwarka Forum meeting was held with Chief Engineer (Dwarka), Delhi Development Authority on 2nd June 2022 at his Office. The Executive Engineers of various Civil and Electrical Divisions of DDA (Dwarka Zone) were also present. Dwarka Forum handed over a letter to Chief Engineer (Dwarka), DDA on various issues of Dwarka Sub City under the purview of Delhi Development Authority.
During the meeting, DF discussed in detail the status of work undertaken after sector-wise joint surveys conducted by Delhi Development Authority and Dwarka Forum such as the construction of some internal roads, carpeting of certain Master Plan roads, laying of pawer blocks on both sides of a few main roads, repairing of broken boundary walls of DDA' s vacant land, interconnecting and de-silting of stormwater drains, covering of open drains/ sewers, and development and beautification of existing roundabouts among others.
On behalf of Dwarka Forum, the meeting was attended by Sushil Kumar-President, A. S. Chhatwal - General Secretary with Executive Members: H.M. Singh, Anil Kundra and Kaushal Khanna.

Dwarka Forum raised various areas that need better traffic conditions. These are Tunnel Road or underpass at Palam Railway crossing and Shahbad Mohammadpur Railway Crossing; Flyover at Dwarka More near T-Point; Widening and development of Palam-Dwarka Flyover; Widening and beautification of road including the construction of rotary at Dabri More, flyover at the intersection of Sector-1,2,6 and 7 on Road 201, Flyover at Rajapuri Chowk (Road No.201) and Development of slip roads at different crossings in Dwarka Sub-City.
They raised the requirement of multilevel Parking facilities in various sectors; near markets of Sector 4,5,11 and 12, near markets of Sector 6 and 10; near Ramphal Chowk market in Sector-7, and Medical Council of India Sector-8.
DF requested for development and disposal of vacant plots already earmarked for community Shopping Centres, Local Shopping Centres, Religious Body Plots, and plots for schools, malls, etc. The body also requested the repair of broken/ partially broken (blue coloured) high-rise direction boards already installed on MP roads. The maintenance of triangle-shaped vacant land adjoining all major intersections was also discussed.
Certain issues related to electrical division such as installation of high-rise street light poles at some major crossings, electrification of all dark spot areas; Installation of High Rise Street lights on certain roads were also part of the discussion.
The issues related to the development and beautification of intersections to make footpaths/service roads pedestrian-friendly, painting of Zebra Crossings and Installation of left-out iron grills on Roads No. 201, 224 and 226 were requested.
In the meeting, it was also decided that Division-wise Coordinators, will be nominated among the volunteers of DF to coordinate with the concerned divisions of DDA, Dwarka Zone.
The Chief Engineer and other Senior Officials of DDA, Dwarka Zone took note of all the points raised during the meeting and assured all possible steps to make citizen's life more comfortable. The Chief Engineer also assured to forward some issues related to other concerned divisions of DDA.
