President of Gulmohar Apartments S K Kumar and president of Sapna Ghar, Deol and secretary Sumita Malik were also present on the occasion. President of ANHLGT, Cicily Kodiyan says, “This was an attempt to involve the community for the environment. Gulmohar apartments and the neighbouring Palm Green apartments together have adopted the parks in front of their societies to develop them. It used to be a dumping ground for garbage and toilet. Both societies together planted trees along with ANHLGT. Sapna Ghar is also developing its neighbourhood park in front of it. In that park, ANHLGT has planted trees twice with the help of the horticulture department but hardly a few trees survived. Now, Gulmohar apartments management has taken the responsibility of looking after the park. They will be planting more trees when the rainy season starts. These three societies are the best example of social solidarity and community responsibility.”

Cicily further adds, “ It will be an inspiration to other housing societies to develop the parks. Our association's motto is to make Dwarka green clean beautiful safe and healthy and the aim is to create social solidarity and community responsibility. We are happy to see that this aim is materialising.”
