Sector 41, Noida: They're old and they're locked out of the RWA club!

Members of the Senior Citizen Welfare Association of Sector 41, Noida, protested against the sector RWA on November 11. The protest, held near the sector’s community centre, was against the sudden closure of the club that senior citizens used to frequent in their free time.

Raman Iyer, treasurer of the association, told City Spidey that the group was formed nine years ago for the retired residents of the sector. "Last Saturday [November 5], we found a new lock on the door of the club. The RWA is not giving any of us permission to enter," he added.

When City Spidey contacted Anil Khanna, president of the RWA, he said that the RWA had never given the association any such space at the community centre. "Once a month, senior citizens are welcome to use the club for any event they want to organise, but not on a regular basis," he added.
