Noida: Reported increase in maintenance charges and the pending registry has made the residents of Pan Oasis society (society 70) brave the heat and protest in the scorching heat. The residents have been protesting for the last 22 days. Residents allege that even now neither any administrative officers nor the local MLA or MP has come to share the concerns of residents.

As gathered by residents, only 100 flats were registered in the last 8 years, whereas 2000 families live in the society. The rest of the people are still visiting the builder's office repeatedly for the registry but the builder (they allege) has turned a deaf ear.

Shambhusharan, a resident of Pan Oasis Society, said that the protest against the registry and increased maintenance has been going on for 22 days. He added that neither AOA elections are being conducted in the society nor the registration of houses is being done.

He says, "Builder charges crores of rupees every year from the residents of the society in the name of maintenance and GST, which is a heavy blow on our budget. This comes when more than half of the owners have not received the registry. We are left with no option but to protest in this scorching heat."

The residents of the society also inform that they have already filed a complaint with the district administration and Noida Police. As gathered, the residents of the society are determined to continue the protest till their demands are met.
