No water connection in Noida sector-18 N Block

Noida: The establishments in N Block Sector 18, Noida, after the recent redevelopment work, have not been given any water connection, troubling the residents. Amidst the many complaints done by the residents, the Civil Department and the Water Department are blaming each other for the inconvenience.

As per the information gathered, the water department is not doing anything about the issue by giving the excuse that there is lack of connection between the pipelines because of the Civil Department of Work Circle 2. However, the officers of Work Circle 2 say that they have already completed the work and now it's the responsibility of the water department to provide connections to the N block.

Sushil Jain, president Sector-18 Market Association, says, "There are few buildings in front of the power house which lack water connection. I have informed both the departments so many times, but even after so many follow-ups till today, no response came from the authority's side."

Sushil also informs that Sector 18 Market Association has requested the officials of both the departments to solve this problem. However, no water connection has yet been given to allottees despite  joint inspections by both departments. He says, "This shows the lack of coordination between the two departments. We hope that by  taking appropriate action in this regard, the department can ensure water supply to the allottees and will also  take appropriate punitive action against the culprits."

Aman Bajaj, an allottee of one of the buildings in front of power house says, "The buildings near the Power House in N block have been in use for 13 to 14 years. Although there are water connection lines, but not water. We are trying to raise and highlight this issue to draw the attention of authorities but no solution has been provided to us even now. We have to use a water tank now to fulfil our needs."
