Casual approach to Covid norms amidst rise in daily cases

Delhi: With the fading of the third Covid wave in the national capital, people started to take a casual approach when it comes to following Covid norms. This casual approach is still continuing even though the Covid cases have seen yet another alarming spate in the last few days. This is worrisome and disturbing as Delhi recorded 1,530 fresh Covid cases and three deaths on June 19, 2022, according to city health department data. The positivity rate now stands at 8. 41 per cent.

Moreover, 1,797 coronavirus cases were recorded on June 17, 2022, the figure being the highest in nearly four months. Despite these, people can be seen moving about brazenly without a mask on the streets. It is obvious that the defaulters are not being fined for flouting Covid protocol. Here are some pictures that were taken at Connaught Place and its neighbourhood office zone. These pictures clearly prove that the Covid-related norms are not being implemented in the office spaces.
