People of Delhi NCR enjoy the rains and pleasant weather

Noida: On the morning of July 12, 2022, Delhi NCR woke up to mild drizzle and pleasant weather. Lowering the temperature by 4 degrees, the showers came as a relief from the hot and humid weather. The Regional Weather Forecasting Centre RWFC, New Delhi, through a Tuesday tweet predicted thunderstorms with moderate intensity rain over adjoining areas of entire Delhi.

Team CitySpidey talked to a few residents across Delhi NCR to know how they feel about the shift in the weather.

Megha Mittal, a resident from the Noida Sector 51 says, "The people of Delhi suffer the most due to the heavy pollution and heat. We await monsoon throughout the year because it is one of the most pleasant weathers. Finally, it is that time of the year. The rains also recharge the groundwater, and lakes, and rivers. I am feeling recharged as well due to this mesmerizing rain right now."

Sonu Ash, a resident of Chhatarpur says, "The weather has become so pleasant after the rain, these are few moments of relief from the heat and humidity. But the roads are waterlogged and SDMC should look into this."

Uday Pratap Singh, a resident of Gurgaon, says, "The most needed thing to beat the heat is this rain. The pleasant weather calls for some hot tea and pakoras. I am so happy monsoons have finally arrived in Delhi."

Shubham Chaudhary, a resident ofMayur Vihar Phase 2 says, "From the last few days, due to the humid weather, I could not sleep properly, the cooler was not able to provide relief from the heat but the weather now is extremely satisfying. It's such good weather that I want to go out and enjoy it."

The RWFC predicted moderate rain and thunderstorm up to July 13, 2022 and then light and moderate rain up to July 19, 2022. The temperature during the whole week is likely to be between 35.8 to 26 degree Celsius.
