Dwarka: Waterlogging on roads soon after rain

While the rain was happy news in many parts of Delhi, it brought problems in Dwarka. Minutes of heavy showers on July 20, 2022, exposed the reality of the drainage system in Dwarka. Massive waterlogging was seen along several main roads along metro stations in the sub-city.

Waterlogging was seen near the metro station in Sector 14. Commuters found it hard to drive on these roads. Many were seen changing their route to avoid waterlogging. Similarly, at Sector 12, the road from KM Chowk towards Ashirvad Chowk was inundated. Waterlogging at both these roads has been a common sight during monsoons yet it seems that the civic bodies have failed to find a solution to this problem.
