In a shocking incident, a school bus from Bal Bharti School (minibus, tempo trailer) in Rohini caught fire with 21 children on board on the afternoon of July 21, 2022. Fortunately, the children were evacuated in time and no casualties have been reported. The reason behind the fire is still under investigation. Both the fire department and the police are involved.
The bus driver says that the incident took place while dropping the children home after school. When they reached Rohini sector 7, he felt something burning inside the bus. He immediately stopped the bus and appealed to the people around for help. With the collective effort of all, all children were safely evacuated from the bus.
As gathered, the fire was so strong that it completely engulfed the bus. A nearby car was also engulfed by the flames emanating from it. The parents came on the spot as soon as they reached the spot to pick up the children.
