Dwarka Forum organises 'Health Talk' on heart stroke and insomnia

Dwarka: To make the residents of Dwarka more aware about their health and about health issues such as brain stroke and insomnia, Dwarka Forum, a residents association from Dwarka, in association with Manipal Hospital, Sector 6, Dwarka, organized a 'Health Talk' on July 30, 2022.

Kickstarting the event, Yamini Gupta from Manipal Hospital and Anil Kundra from Dwarka Forum welcomed all the participants. In the event, Dr. Khushbu Goel (Consultant, Neurology), explained the guidelines to prevent brain stroke. She said that 80% of strokes are preventable. She further suggested that one must keep control on blood pressure, blood sugar levels and body weight. She also advised against smoking and consuming alcohol and suggested to exercise regularly. Further she added that stroke can happen at any age, but risk of stroke doubles every decade after 55 years of age. She confirmed that strokes are treatable if detected timely.

Chief Guest of the evet was ACP, Dwarka, M.L. Meena, who also shared his thoughts about the safety and security of Dwarka residents later in the event. He thanked Dwarka Forum and Manipal Hospital team for arranging the session.

Several members of Dwarka Forum and other residents of Dwarka attended the session. Being an interactive session, the participants put forth their queries, to which Dr Khushbu Goel and ACP Dwarka, M.L. Meena responded. The event ended with a delectable lunch.
