GreNo: The office of Greater Noida Authority is adorned with tricoloured lights and flags to commemorate the occasion of 75th Independence Day. On the morning of August 15, 2022, the celebrations kickstarted with flag hoisting and national anthem.

Prerana Sharma, also ACEO of GNIDA says, “Many freedom fighters contributed to getting freedom from British rule in 1947. Always remember that freedom has been achieved through many struggles. We should remember our moral values and duties”. She thanked all Greater Noida residents for joining the Har Ghar Tiranga campaign.

At the event, the students of Savitribai Phule Balika Inter College, Kasna performed patriotic songs. The Police and ex-servicemen serving the authority were also honoured for their exceptional services. During this, all the officers and employees of the Greater Noida Authority were present.

The Greater Noida Authority also took out the tricolour yatra after the flag hoisting program to commemorate Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav. In the presence of ACEO Deep Chandra, ACEO Prerna Sharma and ACEO Amandeep Duli, this tricolour journey started and passed through major routes of Greater Noida. During this, patriotic songs continued to be played. A spirit of patriotism was seen during the Tiranga Yatra.

After the flag hoisting and tricolour yatra program, many officials of Greater Noida Authority planted saplings. ACEO Prerna Sharma and GM Project KR Verma planted Maulishree saplings in Knowledge Park Forest. After this, KR Verma, Salil Yadav, Kapil Singh and other officials planted saplings in Sector Zeta One.
