Dwarka: Society residents come together to watch the India Pak match

Dwarka: Pakistan vs India matches are eagerly anticipated by cricket fans on both sides of the border as well as around the world. Given the two countries' strained relations, the two teams have only been playing each other in major world tournaments, making Asia Cup First clash a rarity.

While on August 28, 2022, the entire country was preparing to watch the big game on their television sets, the management committee and a few residents of Udyog Vihar Apartments, Dwarka Sector 22, had something different in mind. They arranged for a screening in the society premises so that the residents and the kids of the society could the watch the game together on big screen.

There were special preparations to watch the entire match on a big screen on the central lawn of the society. Shibu Paul, an MC member says, "While watching cricket or any games from our living rooms is cosy, however, the match on Sunday demanded the people to come together in a festive atmosphere with scrumptious snacks to relish while watching the big game. So we came up with this idea and organized everything to ensure that our residents can have that experience."

Another MC member, Sandeep said, "On the day of match, we all got together with our family members, including kids and senior citizens as everyone was invited to watch the game. We all got food and drinks as well to enjoy the same. We shared moments of laughter and anxiousness while desperately wishing for our team India to win."

People of the society do not simply enjoy watching a match but also like to play to keep their spirits high. So there were discussions and detailed analysis of every single ball and hit by the residents amongst themselves.

Finally, when team India won, there were celebrations everywhere. Every single person watching the match in the society danced their heart out to celebrate.
