Noida- Rajasthan Kalyan Parishad celebrate Teej the Marwadi way

Teej is a grand celebration of Indian rituals and culture. The festival, native to Rajasthan was celebrated with great zeal at Noida on August 28 at Rajasthan Kalyan Parishad, Indira Kala Kendra, Sector 6. A cultural event was organized on the occasion.

NK Malpani, the President of Rajasthan Kalyan Parishad inaugurated the event with former presidents of the organization. Jugal Kishore Bharti, General Secretary of the Parishad lit the lamp.

The program saw many vibrant singing and dance performances. Kids performed Bollywood songs and the ladies sang folk songs. Moreover, dance and drama performance based on Prithviraj Chauhan's life was staged by the couples and members of the organisation.

Women in this event came dressed like newly married girls. They were dressed in ethnic attire with heavy jewellery and vermillion. Not just the ladies, but men too were seen sporting traditional attires such as Kurta, dhoti, turban, garland in the neck, tilak on forehead, moustaches, and kalawa in hand.

Members of various organisations in Noida attended the program. Some of them were Bharat Vikas Parishad, Mangalmay Parivar, Marwari Yuva Manch, Maheshwari Samaj, Uttar Pradesh Udyog Vyapar Mandal, Agrawal Mitra Mandal, Sanatan Dharma Mandir, Apna Ghar Noida. Noida MP and patron of the organisation Dr Mahesh Sharma also graced the event.
