Noida: A massive fire broke out in a commercial building in K block, Sector-18 market, Noida on Wednesday, July 7th, 2022. As per reports, around 15 people were rescued by the fire officials and no casualties were reported. The cause of the fire is still to be ascertained.
Sushil Kumar Jain, President, Sector 18 Market Association Noida, says, "Due to the commendable efforts of the fire officials, the lives of the people trapped in this fire could be saved. According to eyewitnesses, at least six people, including a woman, have been rescued. I express my deep appreciation to all the fire officials, who put their best efforts in controlling this fire in time and saved many lives.
Sushil Kumar Jain has requested all the traders to get fire extinguishing equipment installed and get their establishments thoroughly checked by the Fire department. He also requests traders to get an NOC by the Fire Department so that such incidents can be avoided in future
As gathered, the fire had reached up to 3 floors of the building. Some people were trapped on the second and third floors of the building when the fire broke out. It was difficult to evacuate those trapped people due to the smoke, but all the people were safely rescued through the hydraulic lift.
