After a recent surge in August, the Covid cases have come under control in the capital. 2 deaths were recorded in Delhi during the last 24 hours as per the health advisory issued by the Department of Health, Delhi Government on September 7, 2022. Moreover, 177 cases were reported in the last 24 hours. The positivity rate is 1.36%.

Among the 936 active cases, 105 are admitted to hospitals and 672 are under home isolation. 128 containment zones have been found across the capital. After the new fresh load, Delhi Covid cases reach 2001127 and the death toll climbed to 26, 484.

Recently, in August, the capital saw a spike in Covid cases. A positivity rate reached 19.2 per cent on August 16, 2022. 157 deaths were reported in August against 159 deaths in the last 4 months.

As gathered, the spread of the infection is thought to be under control when a positivity rate of 5 per cent or less is seen over two weeks. The city recorded a positivity rate of 30.6 per cent on January 14, the highest during the third wave.
