Delhi: Driving on the Ring Road of Delhi, infamous for constant traffic jams, may not give a pleasurable experience. However, the walkway along side it has recently been given a facelift to make things better for the pedestrians. The walkway alongside Ring Road from Moti Bagh Metro station towards Dhaula Kuan has recently been revamped by Public Works Department, Delhi. The 500 m stretch on both sides of the road is developed with a much-needed green touch. The stretch also has a new cycling lane to make things easier for cyclists. It also provides a broader area for pedestrians to walk comfortably. At regular distances, there are several spots to sit as well.

For the maintenance of that stretch, the contract of about 5 years has been given to a private company. Zorawar Singh, an official from that company says, "From maintaining the greenery to keeping the walkway clean, everything will be taken care of by our employees." He also tells us that roads near Dhaula Kuan, Raj Ghat, and Pitampura will also be revamped.

During the light drizzle on the morning of September 16, 2022, this is what the walkway looked like.
