One of the most populous sectors in Noida, Sector 34, houses people from across the country. The community formed by the residents of twelve residential societies of the sector is a culmination of different cultures.  Thus, every celebration and festival here is always a joyous event. This is one of the many things that make Sector 34 stand out from the rest of Noida.

To understand Sector 34 more closely and to know the prevalent issues of that area, CitySpidey talked to KK Jain, the RWA President of Sector 34 and Dharmendra Sharma, the General Secretary of Sector 34 RWA.

While talking about what makes Sector 34 special, Dharmendra Sharma says, "Our Sector is very green. There are around 26 parks in the area. There are 12 societies and we have our in house waste management system. Our waste is disposed off in our sector and through that waste; we make fertilizer as well biogas which is used for multiple purposes in the sector.”

KK Jain, who has been the President of Sector-34 for the last 10 tells us that he has seen the sector develop over the years. He also tells us that the RWA has done exceptional work to provide better facilities for the residents. “The parks are maintained properly, the cleanliness of parks and societies is taken care of as we have installed a garbage plant. The wet and dry waste reaches the plant and then treated for making fertilizers and biogas. Our sector has its own rainwater harvesting system to recharge the ground water,” says he.

While the description of the sector paints a pretty picture, every sector has its own share of issues and so does Sector 34. When asked about the prevalent issues in the Sector,   Dharmendra Sharma says, "Yes, no society is perfect and we do have a  few problems. There is a big issue of vendors who have illegal shops in the area. We have to establish a proper vending zone so that nobody will have to face any problems. There is a need to install gates at the sector and the community hall. The infrastructure of electricity is old as the polls are rusted."

KK Jain and Dharmendra Sharma also tell us that every RWA member works very hard to keep their sector well-maintained. KK Jain also says that the support of residents is very crucial as well. " The RWA is successful only with the residents’ support. We are lucky that our residents have faith in us and they encourage us to work hard for them. Our RWA is very active and the relationship with the residents is also very nice. I suggest everyone to always cooperate and work for the betterment of everyone," says he.
