As we get ready to approach Winters, a rain spell has taken over the capital and the neighbouring cities. Moderate to high rain was received in various parts of Delhi bringing the temperature down to 26-degree celsius. The AQI has also come into the satisfactory zone in many parts.

However, the rain led to flooding in several areas in Delhi, Gurugram and Noida. As per Indian Meteorological Department, more rain can be expected over the weekend. IMD has issued a yellow alert, cautioning people about moderate rain at most places in the city.

Delhi received 40.8 mm of rainfall between 5.30 pm on September 22, 2022, and 8.30 am on Friday as the light to moderate rain drenched Delhi for the third consecutive day. The flooding of roads in several areas and affecting traffic movement on key roads across the city. Delhi Traffic Police issued an advisory at 5: 26 pm warning of a traffic jam at Phirni Road, Najafgarh due to waterlogging.

Apart from this, schools have been shut in parts of Uttar Pradesh and Gurugram, where private and corporate offices have been asked to work from home day after incessant rain on September 22, 2022.
