Noida: A case of theft has come to light from Sunworld Vanalika Society, Sector 107, Noida. As per the information gathered, on September 25, 2022, a house help in Sunworld Vanalika Society, Sector 107, stole a family's valuables and jewels after spiking their food with sleeping pills. However, the police have now arrested the house help and recovered the valuables.
As per reports, the house help had been working as a cook in an apartment of the society. For a couple of days ahead of the theft, the domestic help had invited his friend to stay with him in the servant's quarters. On the night of September 25, the cook spiked the food with intoxicants and then proceeded to steal their valuables and escaped. However, a kid of the family came to his consciousness and alerted the guards of the society. Following this, the guards arrested the servant's companion and handed him over to the police.
The police then took the matter into their hands. Following the investigation, the police captured the convict the same night and recovered the stolen jewels.
According to Rajneesh Verma ACP Noida Zone, the convict didn't have police verification when he was employed. The ACP urged the residents and RWA of Sunworld Vanalika Society to ensure police verification of domestic help before hiring them in future.
