Bharat Ratna Lata Mangeshkar was a towering personality from the Indian film industry. Right from the Golden Era of Bollywood to the 2000s, she sang for numerous actresses. More so, she was able to do justice to all the songs that she sang and looked perfectly at ease while doing so. She was the one behind those numerous songs for which all the leading actresses are known. In hindsight, it is tough to believe any hit movie without the presence of Lata Mangeshkar.

When Lata sang 'ayega aane wala' her first mega hit from the movie Mahal (1949), picturised on Madhubala and composed by Khemchand Prakash,  she was just 19. And when she sang 'didi tera devar deewana' in 1994 hit movie 'Hum Aapke Hain Kaun' for Madhuri Dixit, a song which caught the imagination of the whole nation, including famed artist M.F Hussain, then Lata was 65 years old.
